They are listed on the Varsity skills list so you are aware that they are acceptable to showcase during your tryout. During our competition season, dancers who made the Varsity team already possessing acrobatic skills may be highlighted during small sections of the routine(s).
The above list is only a suggestive list. We do not evaluate all of the above skills at tryouts. We do expect to put many of the skills in to our competition routines. If you have any questions about the skills evaluated at tryouts please contact Jessica Winkle. email@example.com
If you are currently a member of the Flyerettes we encourage you to work with your coaches individually throughout the year to continue improving on the above skills! If you would like to be a future member of the Flyerettes we encourage all of our members to attend dance studio classes to work on the above skills.
Being a part of the team is an honor, but it is also a major commitment. Feel free to look over our rules and regulations and our team requirements before you try out. Our calendar is available at www.Flyerettes.com/Calendar where you can get an idea of time commitment. We highly encourage all of our members to be in a technique dance class year round. While it is not required to make the junior varsity team, it is imparitve in order to develop the skills necessary to progress in the Flyerette program to the varsity level. All members are required to audition every year.
***Each girl trying out for Varsity, and her parents, will be required to sign the Varsity Tryout Agreement. Hard copies will be given to the girls on Tuesday of tryouts and should be returned on Wednesday in order to continue to final audtions.
